It's not always very accessible. After the Fall it became completely cut off from the rest of the universe.

I did play sports there, but not quite so many. And I took my school work a bit more seriously.

Mm. Very wise of you, there's a lot to be said for strength and speed, but more to both when you've the mind to put them to use.

The Fall refers to the fall of the Commonwealth. To make a long story short, there was a great civilization, there was a rebellion that crumbled it from within, and after that, things kind of sucked for a while. The Vedrans cut themselves off from the slipstream routes and Tarn-Vedra disappeared.

I see. I've seen worlds torn apart for reaching out too far into a universe more great and terrible than they could know, to sever yourself instead is likely a much wiser choice.

Slipstream routes, I take it, are the dark paths by which you travel space?

They're more glowy than dark, but yes.

I don't really blame the Vedrans for wanting to protect themselves, but at the same time if they'd stayed they might have been able to do a lot of good. Instead they just abandoned the universe and turned their back on races who used to look up to them and depend on them.
